Usually the Lord gives me all sorts of ideas for blog posts throughout the week. Sometimes it happens at the last-second, like in Tuesday morning’s shower.  But, today I’ve got nuthin.  Maybe my brain has reached maximum overload…I don’t know.  So, this post will look a little different…

School began for our family last week.  So did a bunch of church ministries and we’re just about back into full swing life.  I keep forgetting things, like appointments, or books I should have bought, grocery items I forgot to list.  The routine has not been established yet and yesterday homeschooling took my 7th grader 12 hours.  (Don’t feel sorry for him, it took that long because he was taking a lotta lotta breaks)  This is real life and it will get better as we fall more into a good routine, but until then I pray for peace and kindness toward one another.

How has your school or ministry year begun?  Maybe it’s been topsy-turvy like mine, or maybe you’ve gotten off to a bang-up start.  Isn’t it such a great joy that we can do things like be a part of a church that offers activities to help us grow spiritually?  And it’s a real privilege to have a family or home to care for.  I am thankful for the opportunity to have some say in my daily schedule too. We are a blessed people…may we have eyes to see all of our tremendous blessings.

I’ll keep this post short and simple (since I’ve got nuthin) and leave you with this:  Enjoy where you are right now.  Seek the Lord in your turmoil or unrest.  Seek Him in the mundane well-established routine.  Seek Him in His Word.  Seek Him in prayer.  God’s Word tells us that if we seek Him, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).  He is near!  I’m so thankful there is so much more than just this world around us.  While there are many joys here, God promises us so much more eternally.

Enjoy your day, your people, and your God.

Love, Wendy
