Early fall has some of the best sunrises I have ever seen.  When I drive to work, I start out heading due west, and I would completely miss these beauties if I didn’t know that I should glance in the rearview mirror once in a while.

Thanksgiving is almost upon us, and it’s the time of year when we’re all reminded to be grateful.  And I love that reminder. I love that there’s a day when so many people have their minds set on being thankful.

Thanksgiving is always a day full of abundance, family, friends, traditions, football, turkey, naps, and maybe a little Black Friday shopping (if that is your thing), but it’s also a day of reflection.  It’s a day to glance in the rearview mirror and really appreciate the things God has done for you.  The days He sustained you through. The strength He’s given in bad news. The victories over sin He has orchestrated.  The promises of Scripture He’s allowed you to see fulfilled. The times He’s stayed, even when He was the only One.

Let’s be more grateful this year than we were last year.  There’s a lot to be grateful for in that rearview mirror.

Love, April
