In preparing for our women’s conference, re:garding HIM, coming up on October 4th, here is another fun Q & A with one of our Breakout Session speakers, Adrienne Miklovic. My favorite part is what she wanted to be when she grew up. I hope you enjoy!
Love, Wendy
Adrienne will be speaking at the Breakout Session: “A Heart of Humility”
What three words that start with the first letter of your first name describe you?
Amiable. Approachable. Alabama mom
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A mermaid.
Where in the Bible are you reading this summer?
Revelation and Psalms.
What has God already showed you about your topic?
Humility is the cornerstone of our relationship with the Lord and with others. Without it, those relationships will be anemic or even nonexistent.
What blogs and websites do you often click?
The BaylyBlog and re:flect-i
Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would include a walk alone with my husband, all 6 of our children around the dinner table, dark chocolate and 73 degree weather.
Share a piece of marriage/friendship/child-rearing wisdom.
Do not secretly compare your husband to other men.
How have you seen God’s hand in a good situation and a difficult one?
He transformed me from a liberal feminist to a woman who loves Jesus and His Word—only God’s hand could have done this!
What was the first concert you attended?
Barry Manilow, baby! It was 1980 and I’m not ashamed to say that it was a fantastic show.
How do you incorporate prayer time into your life?
I set my alarm earlier than I need to get up and pray before I get out of bed—setting my thoughts properly before the day begins. Then I end the day with a prayer time—reviewing my day with the Lord before I sleep.
What music gets you pumped?
I don’t listen to music much (my 3rd grader’s recorder homework doesn’t count). I do love our church’s worship music.
